    Day 11 - February 4th (6hrs)

Today I was able to get into the actual content creation part for both Warubi and Athletes USA. As already mentioned, the needed tools are Canva and Photoshop. I created several prototype posts in order to get used to the process and to perfect the necessary skills for both tools. First, I had to look for a quality picture for the recruit on their profile in Pipedrive. Once a good quality action picture is found, the picture will be uploaded to Canva where the background can be removed. This step is necessary in order to create a PNG of the athlete so it can be used for the finished graphic. The same step will be done with the university logo, unless you can already find a PNG on google. Once these two steps are completed, the layout which is provided by Warubi can be opened in photoshop where all the parts can be put in and assembled until the graphic is finished. Once everything has been put in the right place, the graphic will be exported as JPEG and is ready to schedule for posting. The content creation itself is the same for Warubi and Athletes USA. The only difference is the that the layout has different parts to it, which have to be moved around and created differently once the template is opened in the app. After the posts are created, Warubi uses Hootsuite as scheduling tool for all of their social media channels. New signings are usually posted together, while final commitments are always posted separately. The scheduling process itself is fairly easy. The layout in Hootsuite shows a calendar with different hours. Once the time and day are selected, you can copy and paste the pre-made caption and add the graphics. Once this step is complete, Hootsuite will automatically post every single post to each selected platform on the selected date. Lastly, all graphics, cut-out player images and caption will be saved in the designated folders online in order to be readily accessible for the future.

Mentorships, as well as internships, are an extremely valuable tool for students to prepare for the real world.
