    Day 15 - February 14th (3hrs)

Today was a relatively short day, as I only had two phone calls. My first phone call was with my client Brayden Boroutski. It was a general follow up call where I spoke to him about the evaluation we sent to him a couple of weeks ago. I thoroughly explained everything to him and answered any possible questions that he had. After the call that lasted approximately an hour, I went ahead and added all the new information in the file of Brayden on Athletes USA a well as Warubi Sports. Once I added everything and got his client profile updated, I went on a call with my mentor Herbert. The first 30 minutes of the call we spoke about my follow-up with Brayden, and Herbert gave me feedback on what went well and what could have gone differently. One area of improvement was to be more distant and to think out of a professional stand point rather than a friend stand point. Since Brayden is my former teammate, it is pretty hard for me to actually separate being friends and the professional aspect of it. After we spoke about the call, we dove into a new part of the mentorship for the next couple of weeks. I will be heavily diving into the scouting aspect of the company. I spoke to Herbert about the aspects of it. We spoke about the first steps that I will need to take, and he told me that I need to create a plan on how I want to approach this next part of the mentorship.

Mentorships, as well as internships, are an extremely valuable tool for students to prepare for the real world.
