    Day 23 - March 5th (8hrs)

    Today was all about learning and evaluating the past 2 years of marketing activity, both at Warubi and Athletes USA. I was given access to the marketing reviews from 2020 and 2021 (as the one from 2022 has not been done yet). I went through the 2020 reports first to get familiar with the content that was given. The report was split into five different categories. These include website analytics (which includes Google Analytics and Ubersuggest), social media analytics, email marketing, content creation summary and the conclusion as well as goals for 2022. It was extremely interesting to see such a detailed report, as it was the first time that I have actually worked with real life marketing data. It was also very cool to see the google analytics section, as I just got done with my analytics certificate, which helped me a lot in understanding the data. The first item that stuck out to me was that the website usage was fairly similar, but there was a trend in rising numbers due to a new addition of TikTok to the social media portfolio of Warubi. Furthermore, it was clear to see that Instagram was the main social platform that helped Warubi to gain reach as well as leads to their website. Seeing this spike in TikTok and Instagram shows how fast paced and aleays evolving marketing can be. There are new trends all most daily, and if you want to be successful and on top of your own marketing you have to always be aware of new trends and have to figure out if they will affect your business. In the case of Warubi, they have done a great job with going with new trends. The target market of Warubi are mainly teenagers aged 16-18, which are very prominent on these social platforms. Therefore, it was the right move to put heavy focus on these channels. Lastly, I went through the reports of Athletes USA for 2020 and 2021 to get familiar with their numbers and rates. I checked for any missing details or some new insight that might have been overlooked, but everything seemed pretty well analyzed. Overall, Warubi and Athletes USA have an extremely strong marketing department, which is one of the reasons why the company is so successful. It is extremely interesting to learn from these people and get insights in how they do marketing, analyze their efforts and plan for the future.
