Day eight of my mentorship concluded the last day that we worked on the ECNL showcase database. After we successfully created a database of the players that were scouted, my task was to filter all 2023 and 2024 high-school graduates out of the database and create an email list for Warubi. After every event that they attend, Warubi create an email list from every participant which is divided by graduation year. These email lists are saved on drop box and every worker within the company has access to these files. The reason why Warubi is collecting all the emails is to have them readily available for their email marketing campaigns. Since they offer different services, it is important to separate the email lists by graduation date. For example players that graduate in 2025 would not be interested in email campaigns about the scholarship services that Warubi offers because they are 2 years away from actually graduating. These players would be more suitable for the email campaign regarding college prep camps or even the play abroad service that Warubi offers. As tool for their marketing campaign, Warubi is using the platform Sendinblue. It is a simple email marketing solution that smaller sized businesses can use to send automated email marketing campaigns. Since the ECNL showcase was separated in 5 different age groups, I had to create 2 different email lists. The first list included 2023 and 2024 graduates while the second list included 2025,2026 and 2027 graduates. In the next couple weeks, I will be using Sendinblue to email out marketing campaigns about Warubi´s Scholarship service to the first list and the play abroad campaign to the second list.
